Bigfoot Sighting in Colorado: A Vacation to Remember

During a recent vacation in Colorado, a couple claims to have captured footage of the legendary Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, in broad daylight. Shannon and Stetson Parker, celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary, reported the sighting while sightseeing on the Durango to Silverton railroad in Colorado.

According to Shannon Parker, 44, the couple was searching for elk in the mountains when her husband noticed something unusual. “We were looking for elk in the mountains and then my husband saw something moving. After that, what we saw was unexplainable. That guy looked exactly like Bigfoot,” she told the NY Post.

Describing the creature, Shannon estimated it to be at least 1.8 to 2.1 meters tall, blending seamlessly into the mountain and forest landscape. “Its appearance blends into the mountain and forest landscape, making it very difficult to detect. If we had been asked before the trip, we would probably still have been skeptical about Bigfoot, but now we completely believe it,” she added.

Shannon shared a video of the sighting, which quickly garnered attention online. The train driver even corroborated their story, mentioning that he had previously seen something similar while snowshoeing in the mountains. He described finding footprints larger and with longer strides than those made by snowshoes, along with other unexplainable phenomena.

The video and story sparked various reactions. Some viewers claimed to have seen Bigfoot’s footprints themselves, with one person commenting, “I believe.” Another remarked, “I love this story.” However, skepticism remains, with one person sarcastically asking, “How much alcohol did you guys drink?”

Shannon addressed these doubts, noting that some people suspect it could be hunters, pranksters, or locals in disguise trying to attract tourists. “But it’s not a hunter because hunters have to carry weapons, but it doesn’t carry anything,” she explained.

Reports of Bigfoot sightings in the Pacific Northwest date back to the 1800s. The Washington National Guard’s description of the creature matches the images captured by the Parkers, depicting a giant, hairy ape-like being standing upright and over 2 meters tall. According to the University of Arizona, folklore suggests Bigfoot may have originated from Gigantopithecus, a massive ape that coexisted with early humans.

This sighting adds to the growing number of reports and continues to fuel the debate over the existence of Bigfoot, leaving many to wonder what truly resides in the depths of America’s forests.
